What causes thinning hair in men?
Hair thinning in males is most commonly caused by genetics and a hormone called DHT, which gradually shrinks hair follicles over time. This is known as male pattern baldness. Other factors like stress, poor diet, underlying health conditions can also contribute to thinning or shredding. While genetic hair loss can't be fully reversed, understanding the cause early makes it easier to manage with the right care routine.
When should men start using eye cream?
We recommend men start using an eye cream in their mid to late 20s as a preventive measure. That's typically when collagen production begins to slow and early signs of fine lines or puffiness can start to show. Shop eye creams.
How to get rid of body acne fast?
Body acne responds best to a consistent routine rather than a single fast fix but here's what speeds things up.
Switch to a salicylic acid body wash, it exfoliates inside the pores and clears the oil bacteria buildup that causes breakouts. Benzoyl peroxide wash (2.5-5%) is another strong option especially on inflamed red bumps.
We also recommend showering right after sweating and avoiding tight clothing.
Don't pick or scrub aggressively and avoid thick or heavy lotions. Check out body washes.
Can shaving cause breakouts?
Yes, if you have not prepared the skin before shaving or used a blunt blade you can cause a skin irritation which can could then turn into an infection and breakout. Check out our blog on shaving for more information.
Best moisturiser for men with oily skin?
There are quite a few products on the market that are formulated for men with oily skin. You want to look for a moisturiser that is lightweight and non-comedogenic, which helps hydrate without adding extra grease.
Moisturisers with niacinamide are good, it will help regulate oil production and minimise the look of pores and calm redness and irritation. Also look for moisturisers that have hyaluronic acid which help hydrate and absorb quickly.
We recommend Charles & lee oil free moisturiser and the recipe for men instant hydrate gel.
Why does my face feel tight after washing?
This usually means the cleanser stripped away the natural oils and disrupted the skins moisture barrier leaving too little lipid behind to hold water in. To fix, a gentler cleanser and apply a moisturiser whilst skin still damp afterwards to lock in moisture.

Best face wash for men with acne?
The best ingredients to look for in a face wash if you have acne are Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide, these are proven ingredients for clearing breakouts.
Look for a gel or foaming formula rather than a heavy cream cleanser. Don't be afraid to moisture your skin, oily acne skin doesn't mean your skin is hydrated and avoiding a moisturiser can sometimes make your skin worse as it over compensates.
How to stop oily skin during the day, for men?
Oily skin during the day is usually caused by overactive sebaceous glands, which can be triggered by genetics, hormones, heat, stress or even over-stripping the skin with harsh cleansers.
Start with a gentle cleanser, follow with a lightweight moisturiser, skipping moisturiser can sometimes make it worse. Purchase a blotting paper which you can use in the middle of the day to remove excess oil. Also recommend a matt moisturiser.
